Noelle Pikus-Pace admits Lizzy Yarnold favourite to win women's skeleton

Team USA's Noelle Pikus-Pace admits that it will be tough for her to overtake Briton Lizzy Yarnold in the race to finish first in the women's skeleton event in Sochi.

Noelle Pikus-Pace has admitted that winning gold in the women's skeleton event at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi will be tough.

The American racer is second in the standings, 0.44 seconds behind Team GB's Lizzy Yarnold after the first two runs of the competition on Thursday.

"It's a pretty big margin, to be honest," BBC Sport quotes the 31-year-old as saying.

"Anything's possible, and of course it's doable, but it's a pretty big margin."

Elena Nikitina of Russia is currently third.
