Former England captain Lewis Moody insists there is no-one better than Martin Johnson to lead the nation to the World Cup in 2015.

Retiring captain Lewis Moody believes that Martin Johnson should be given the opportunity to guide England to the World Cup in 2015.

Johnson's future as coach of the national team is currently shrouded in doubt following their quarter-final exit from the World Cup in New Zealand last month.

However, when asked by Sky Sports News whether Johnson should be handed a second chance, Moody said: "Absolutely. It was less than a year ago that Johnno took us to our first Six Nations victory in seven years.

"I think to have a knee-jerk reaction and to get rid of him would be very wrong. Probably the bigger question is does Johnno want to continue? I really hope he does. He is definitely the man in my eyes to take us through to 2015."

Moody, 33, decided to call time on his international career following the conclusion of the tournament in New Zealand.
