Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho laments that his success in football has adversely affected his social life.

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has revealed that his social life suffers because of his success in football.

The Portuguese has won league titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain and the Champions League twice with two different teams.

"I hate my social life," the 49-year-old told CNN. "I hate not to be a normal father who goes with his son to the son's football match and being there with the other 20 fathers there watching the game.

"I'm at a football match of kids and I have to be there. The people have to come for photos; the people have to come for autographs; the people have to come to insult me; the people have to go behind the goal of my kid and insult my kid of 12."

Mourinho added that he is not the person he is portrayed as in the media.

"So, you know, I would love to be with my family in the street as a normal person and I can't, so I am a completely different person in my private life," he said.

"I keep to myself, I keep to the people that are close to me and one day when my career finishes, I hope that I will still have a few years to be a normal person because I want to finish my career at 70 or 75."

Mourinho's current contract with Madrid runs out in 2016.
