New 'Top Gear' host Chris Evans hints F1 driver Jenson Button will join show

Top Gear host Chris Evans hints that McLaren Formula 1 driver Jenson Button will join the new-look TV show.

The new host of BBC show Top Gear has dropped a hint that McLaren Formula 1 driver Jenson Button will join the TV lineup.

The 35-year-old Brit has been linked with the slot for some time, but rumours have intensified after it was reported that the driver is poised to quit F1.

Chris Evans, who has replaced Jeremy Clarkson as host of the new-look show, told listeners on his Radio 2 programme that there were "rumours of a Top Gear-related press conference in Suzuka", according to the Daily Star.

Button, who has been coy about his future, is currently in Suzuka for this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix.
