Andrew Neil will reportedly not continue as a regular contributor on GB News after his comments about the channel on Question Time last week.

Andrew Neil will reportedly not be continuing in his role as a "regular contributor" on GB News, just one week after he quit as the channel's chairman.

The veteran broadcaster announced his exit from the station last Monday, having hosted just two weeks of his primetime programme in June before going on a 10-week summer holiday.

In a statement, GB News said that Neil would be making regular appearances on the channel, including a regular Monday night appearance on Nigel Farage's top-rated show.

However, Neil is said to have upset senior figures at GB News with his appearance on last week's Question Time, where he admitted that he had decided to leave due to a disagreement over the channel's editorial direction.

According to the i, a planned appearance on Farage's show this week was dropped at the last moment following his comments - and he is now no longer likely to appear on the channel at all in the future.

"There have been big rows – he was meant to come on and they wanted to tackle him over what he said to Fiona Bruce on Question Time," a source told the newspaper.

"But they decided against the question and dropped him from the show instead."

Following Neil's exit, Colin Brazier has been handed the flagship 8pm weekday slot on a permanent basis.
