ITV announces that filming has started on three new Grace stories with John Simm.

ITV has confirmed that filming has started on three new episodes of detective drama Grace in Brighton.

The show - an adaptation of Peter James's award-winning novels - stars John Simm as DS Roy Grace, a hard-working police officer who devotes his life to the job.

The first film consolidated to almost 9 million viewers when it aired in March, prompting ITV to order three more two-hour stories, 'Not Dead Enough', 'Dead Man's Footsteps' and 'Dead Tomorrow'.

Richie Campbell and Rakie Ayola will reprise their roles as DS Glenn Branson and Grace's boss ACC Vosper respectively, while Zoe Tapper joins the cast as mortuary technician Cleo Morey and Doctor Who's Arthur Darvill guest stars in the first film.

"Everyone involved with Grace is very excited to be back in Brighton bringing the next three Peter James novels to the screen," said Simm.

"Like the first two, they've been brilliantly adapted by Russell Lewis and we can't wait to get started."

The three films will air on ITV next year.
