The BBC announces details of a new cookery series featuring Mary Berry for broadcast later this year.

The BBC has announced a new six-part cookery series featuring Dame Mary Berry for broadcast later this year.

In Mary Berry: Love To Cook, the 86-year-old will share some of her most loved recipes from a culinary career spanning over six decades.

"Love To Cook is me in a nutshell! My cooking is all about sharing what I know and love, teaching and inspiring everyone to enjoy cooking as much as I do," said Berry, who will also release a new book alongside the series.

"Over the past year many have had unexpected time on their hands at home and have found a love of cooking to be comforting and healing in very difficult times.

"Love To Cook is all about celebrating just that, with wonderful characters, as I travel the British Isles in a quest to meet and share in our passion for food."

The show is expected to air on BBC Two from late October.
