Britain's Got Talent star Nabil Abdulrashid reportedly signs up for the new series of Celebrity MasterChef.

Britain's Got Talent finalist Nabil Abdulrashid is the latest reported addition to the lineup for the new series of Celebrity MasterChef.

The 35-year-old - Alesha Dixon's golden buzzer act last year - prompted over 3,000 complaints to TV regulator Ofcom with his stand-up routine, which referenced "angry far-white guys".

According to The Sun, Abdulrashid has now started filming for the new series of Celebrity MasterChef alongside stars such as Mel Sykes, Bez, Katie Price and Joe Swash.

"Nabil is known for his comedy but he's also a dab hand in the kitchen," a source told the newspaper.

"He loves cooking up Nigerian dishes and in a nod to his heritage, he will be rustling up dishes that complement his roots.

"But Nabil has also proved he's a pretty good all-rounder. It's worth keeping an eye on him in the competition."

The new series will air on BBC One later this year.
