Vincent Norrman has recorded his second tournament victory in the space of a couple of months by winning the Irish Open.
The Swede begun the day 20 places down the leaderboard having only shot 70 on Saturday, but he responded with a sensational 65 to reach the top of a packed leaderboard.
On a faultless card, Norrman recorded seven birdies on his closing 10 holes to claim the tournament by one shot, adding this trophy to the Barbasol Championship that he won in July.
However, there was disappointment for Northern Irishman Rory McIlroy after he had gotten himself into contention with his performance in the third round.
Through his first 13 holes, McIlroy, who started the day two off the lead, was level-par for his round through 13 holes, but his title bid came to an end at the 16th when he carded a triple-bogey eight.
McIlroy would eventually finish in a share of 16th after a birdie on the last, with playing partner Hurly Long having to settle for the runners-up spot after failing to find the eagle that he required to force a playoff.
Shane Lowry wowed his home crowd on the final day with a 68, seeing him surge up the leaderboard to share third with Grant Forrest, Ryan Fox and Thriston Lawrence.
There were a further five players - Shubhankar Sharma, Min Woo Lee, Nick Bachem, Rikuya Hoshino and Connor Syme - who earned a tie for seventh, ending the tournament three shots behind Norrman.
