Kym Marsh that she has "no doubt" that she will return to Coronation Street as Michelle Connor in the future.

Kym Marsh has admitted that she has "no doubt" of a return to Coronation Street in the future.

The actress played one of the soap's most popular characters, Michelle Connor, for almost 14 years but decided to leave the cobbles at the end of 2019 to pursue new opportunities.

On screen, Michelle was seen heading for a new life in Dublin after the death of her ex-partner Robert, leaving the door open to a future return.

"I love Coronation Street - it's where I started and it gave me the biggest part of my career," she told The Mirror.

"I had wonderful times there, I made wonderful friends and I loved the character of Michelle, so I have no doubt I'll go back at some point - as long as they don't kill me off off-screen."

Marsh can currently be seen in a UK tour of Fatal Attraction.
