Wolverhampton Wanderers to consider Kevin Doyle, Roger Johnson exits

Wolverhampton Wanderers chairman Steve Morgan reveals that the club will consider paying up the contracts of Kevin Doyle and Roger Johnson during the next transfer window.

Wolverhampton Wanderers chairman Steve Morgan has indicated that he hasn't ruled out paying up the contracts of Kevin Doyle and Roger Johnson.

The pair, who are costing Wolves a combined total of £65,000 per week, don't feature in Kenny Jackett's plans, and Morgan has revealed that they could try to agree a mutual termination with both players, like they did with Jamie O'Hara earlier this season.

Morgan is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "That's something we'd always consider.

"Kenny Jackett has been very focused on how he treats any player who he doesn't see as part of the first team. We'll just continue to back whatever he wants to do.

"Kenny set about making the changes he felt were necessary and myself and Jez Moxey and everyone totally got behind those changes and we're in a very different place today."

Doyle is currently on loan at Crystal Palace, who are paying a portion of his wages, while Johnson remains at Molineux and trains with the Under-21 squad.
