Nuno Espirito Santo delighted with Oskar Buur Rasmussen's goal for Wolves

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo admits that he was delighted with Oskar Buur Rasmussen's point-saving goal on his league debut against Hull City.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has said that Oskar Buur Rasmussen's contribution against Hull City was good for the "philosophy" of the club.

With Matt Doherty suspended, Nuno opted to include the 20-year-old in his 18-man squad and the young Dane came off the bench to head home an equaliser for the Championship leaders on his league debut.

Buur will now likely return to the Under-23 squad, but Nuno was delighted to see one of the club's more inexperienced players help the team to a potentially-decisive point in the race for promotion to the Premier League.

The 44-year-old told the club's official website: "This is the philosophy we want. We have the Under-23s, we look at them. They work with us for a lot of the training sessions and when it's required they are there for us to use them.

"It was good for him, he helped the team and tomorrow he's going back to the Under-23s to keep on going. We want to improve them."

Wolves currently hold a six-point lead over Cardiff City - whom they face in South Wales on Friday - in the standings.
