Manuel Lanzini reveals desire to pen new West Ham United deal

West Ham United attacker Manuel Lanzini says that he is desperate to sign a new deal at the London Stadium.

West Ham United attacker Manuel Lanzini has said that he is desperate to sign a new deal with the Hammers.

Lanzini will see his existing contract at the London Stadium expire at the end of the 2019-20 campaign, although the capital club do have the option to extend the deal for another two years.

The 26-year-old has confirmed that he is in discussions over a fresh agreement, with the Argentina international claiming that the English club is 'like his home'.

"Yes, we are talking with the club about staying and, of course, I want to stay. It is like my home. It is my fifth season now, I love the fans, the fans love me and the club is amazing," Lanzini told Sky Sports News.

Lanzini, who missed the 2018 World Cup due to a serious knee injury, joined the Hammers from Al Jazira Club - initially on loan before completing a permanent move in the summer of 2016.

The versatile attacker has contributed one assist in two Premier League appearances for Manuel Pellegrini's side in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.
