Ben Foster: 'West Bromwich Albion moving on from taxi theft'

West Bromwich Albion defender Ben Foster insists that his side are "moving on" from an incident in which the club were involved while in Barcelona.

West Bromwich Albion defender Ben Foster has insisted that his side are "moving on" from an incident in Barcelona.

Gareth Barry, Boaz Myhill, Jake Livermore and Jonny Evans, who was stripped of the club's captaincy following the theft of the taxi, all broke a club curfew while on a warm-weather training camp in the Spanish city.

Foster, whose side prop up the Premier League table, has said that the mood inside the Baggies camp is "surprisingly good".

"[The mood is] surprisingly good actually," the Englishman told Sky Sports News. "I think we've got quite an experienced group, and I'm sure many of the players have been through this before. It's not nice, it's never easy, but we're all keeping upbeat, and you've just got to get on with it.

"Whatever happened, happened. It's something we've put behind us, we're not even really talking about it anymore, which I think is a good thing. The spirit is pretty good, we've got an experienced bunch, and we're good at moving on with things.

"It's something you kind of accept as life, mistakes happen. The four lads in question - first of all I have to say, they know they made a mistake, and it's very obvious, they know they let a lot of people down, the fans especially - but as people they are four of the best you could find, they are really nice human beings."

West Brom host Huddersfield Town on Saturday in a crucial league tie.
