Watford boss Quique Flores: 'We worked hard at Stoke City'

Watford manager Quique Flores admits that his side were made to work for their three points against Stoke City.

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has admitted that his side were made to work for their 2-0 win at Stoke City in the Premier League.

Goals either side of half time from Troy Deeney and Almen Abdi secured maximum points for the Hornets at the Britainnia Stadium.

"We tried to play very well. The performance was the main thing. We tried to play with high confidence - it was tough against a Stoke side who came into the match having won the last three," he told BBC Sport.

"After we scored we tried to keep playing a high line. We worked really hard. The balance was amazing between defence and offence."

The result moves Watford above Stoke in the table, leaving them in 13th place.
