Southampton allegedly inform Tottenham Hotspur that it will cost £35m to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg later in 2020.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly been informed that it will cost £35m to sign Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

While the Denmark international has established himself as a key man at St Mary's, just one year remains on his contract.

That has left Southampton in a position where they will realistically have to consider offers for the 24-year-old, who cost £12.8m in 2016.

According to the Evening Standard, the Saints want to make a profit of over £22m on the former Bayern Munich player.

Although Spurs have held an interest in Hojbjerg since January, they are unlikely to be prepared to pay such a figure during the next transfer window.

The North London outfit may potentially look to include Kyle Walker-Peters, currently on loan at Southampton, in any proposal.
