Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly made contact with Marseille regarding a January move for their striker Michy Batshuayi.
The 22-year-old's services have been linked with a host of clubs in recent weeks owing to the fact that he has scored 11 goals this season.
According to Foot 365, Spurs have started discussions with their French counterparts in an attempt to jump to the front of the queue.
The report adds that head coach Mauricio Pochettino has identified the Belgium international as the ideal candidate to ease the goalscoring burden on Harry Kane.
Yet, there have been suggestions that Marseille will not consider selling their asset until the summer.
