Graham Turner: 'Shrewsbury Town face crucial run'

Shrewsbury Town boss Graham Turner believes that the club's forthcoming run of fixtures could determine where they finish in League One.

Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner has said that his side's forthcoming run of fixtures are vital to their season.

The Shropshire side, who have won just once in 11 matches, currently sit 18th in League One.

The Shrews will face several sides who are around them in the table and Turner believes that the games could determine where his club finish at the end of the campaign.

"Before the first game, we looked at the fixtures and it was obvious our first dozen or so would be tough," Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire.

"After that the next bunch were always going to be crucial in determining how this season pans out for us.

"Like I have done before, the team has been set some mini individual and collective targets to hopefully stimulate the challenge a bit more in an important period."

Turner led the club to promotion from League Two in 2012.
