Real Madrid reportedly identify Mauricio Pochettino and Raul as potential replacements for current head coach Zinedine Zidane.

Real Madrid have reportedly identified Mauricio Pochettino and Raul as potential replacements for current head coach Zinedine Zidane if the team's poor run of form continues.

Zidane delivered the La Liga title last season, but the pressure is currently on the Frenchman after disappointing defeats to Cadiz and Shakhtar Donetsk in the league and Champions League respectively.

Madrid are next in action away to Barcelona on Saturday afternoon, and a poor result in El Clasico would further intensify the speculation surrounding the former midfielder's future.

According to AS, Pochettino is in the frame to replace Zidane, with the Argentine, who has also been linked with Manchester United, still available despite leaving Tottenham Hotspur almost 12 months ago.

The report claims that Raul - currently in charge of Real Madrid Castilla - is also being considered.

The 43-year-old scored 323 goals in 741 appearances for the capital giants between 1994 and 2010, winning six La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies during his time as a player at the Bernabeu.

Madrid have won three, lost two and drawn one of their six competitive matches this season.
