Jose Castro disappointed with Sergio Ramos boos

Sevilla president Jose Castro admits that he was disappointed with the reaction of his team's supporters to Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos at the weekend.

Sevilla president Jose Castro has admitted that he was disappointed with the reaction of the home crowd to Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos during Sunday's La Liga clash at the Estadio Ramon.

Ramos came through the youth system at Sevilla before making the move to Real Madrid in 2005, just one season after breaking into the first team with his hometown club.

The centre-back was whistled off the pitch when he was substituted at the weekend, however, which led to the 29-year-old criticising the reaction of some sections of the stadium.

Castro has now had his say on the incident, claiming that "Sevillismo" Ramos should never be insulted.

"Sergio Ramos is a Sevillismo, and I hope that any player who has played for Sevilla and also professed his Sevilla roots, despite being a Real Madrid player, is never insulted," Castro told Radio Marca.

Sevilla won the match 3-2 despite falling one goal behind to Rafael Benitez's side.
