The Prime Minister plans an anti-racism meeting in response to allegations of racial abuse within football.

David Cameron has planned an anti-racism football summit to take place at Downing Street, according to The Sunday Telegraph.

As well as the Prime Minister, culture secretary Jeremy Hunt, leading figures from the football authorities and player representatives will be present at the meeting.

The move comes amid concerns that alleged incidents of racism in football are harming the reputation of British sport ahead of this summer's Olympic Games in London.

Speaking last month, Cameron said: "Many of us will have been concerned by recent events. My message is clear. We will not tolerate racism in Britain. It has absolutely no place in our society. And where it exists, we will kick it out."

The meeting is due to take place next week.
