Many Premier League players will have made their first appearance or scored their first goal in the English top flight before reaching adulthood, but one man's record in the latter department has now stood for nearly two decades.
James Vaughan, a former England youth international who hung up his boots in 2021, was only 16 years old when he netted in Everton's 4-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace back in 2005.
Since then, no player has been able to break Vaughan's record, although plenty of embryonic players past and present have sent tongues wagging by also opening their Premier League accounts as juveniles.
