Tony Fernandes: 'Decision over my Queens Park Rangers future has been made'

QPR chairman Tony Fernandes admits that he has faced a "tough three months" away from football, before revealing that a decision over his R's future has been made.

Chairman Tony Fernandes has expressed his pride and joy at seeing Queens Park Rangers claim a valuable 3-3 draw at fellow strugglers Aston Villa on Tuesday night.

The R's could have left the West Midlands with all three points if not for Christian Benteke's strike inside the final 10 minutes, which ensures that Chris Ramsey's men remain in the Premier League relegation zone.

Fernandes, who was watching the game from his Malaysian home, revealed on Twitter how the entertaining contest put him through every emotion, before cryptically hinting about his own future at the club.

"It's a strange thing this QPR love," he said. "I went to bed at 1 in the morning. I got up exactly at 2.45 am. No alarm. My heart knew it's QPR time.

"I watched the game on my iPhone. All kinds of emotions. Despair, disappointment, joy, but most important pride. Four points from two away games."

The Hoops chief, who is also a global CEO of AirAsia, has had to contend with the mystery flight QZ8501 tragedy in recent moths.

"It's been a tough three months since December 28th," he added. "Abuse, tragedy, close friends gone but I never stopped believing in all that we do. The decision on my future has been made. 6 games 18 points. Never stop believing rangers fans. Never stop believing."

QPR are now 18th in the league table ahead of their local derby meeting against Chelsea next weekend.
