Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier is allegedly held at knifepoint alongside his wife and children during a violent home invasion on Tuesday morning.

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier was allegedly the victim of a violent home invasion alongside his wife and children in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

A report from RMC Sport details how the Letellier family were alerted to intruders on their property by an alarm at around 2am, which preceded the burglars breaking into their house.

The police had already been called, but the goalkeeper, his wife and two children - aged six and two - were apparently held at knifepoint as the robbers demanded money and valuables.

Letellier's partner is said to have been punched in the face by the criminals, but three of the four perpetrators - one 21-year-old and two 16-year-olds - were apprehended at the scene by police.

The trio were all found with items allegedly stolen during the burglary as they were taken into custody, while an officer from the Versailles judicial police was also injured in the knee.

Letellier's home security system and quick police response has been credited with helping to arrest the suspects at the scene, and PSG are also stepping up security measures to protect the 33-year-old.

Letellier came through the PSG youth system and rejoined the club on a free transfer in 2020, making one Ligue 1 appearance in each of the last two seasons, and he currently serves as their fourth-choice stopper behind Gianluigi Donnarumma, Keylor Navas and Arnau Tenas.

The goalkeeper's terrifying ordeal comes after Donnarumma and his partner were targeted by robbers in July, while Marquinhos and Angel Di Maria both had their homes burgled while playing for PSG in March 2021.
