Manchester United to offer Anderson as Marcos Rojo bait?

A report claims that Manchester United will offer Anderson to Sporting Lisbon in a bid to tempt the Portuguese club into selling Marcos Rojo.

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to let midfielder Anderson join Sporting Lisbon as a part of the deal that would see Marcos Rojo move to Old Trafford.

Speculation surfaced last week that Argentina international Rojo was a target of United, which prompted the defender to go on strike in a bid to force through the transfer.

He has since apologised to his employers and has returned to training with Sporting, but United boss Louis van Gaal is said to still retain a strong interest in the 24-year-old.

It was claimed recently that United would be willing to send Nani to Sporting on a loan basis as a makeweight, but the winger is thought to have little desire where a return to the Estadio Jose Alvalade is concerned.

As a result, Brazilian midfielder Anderson will now be offered to the Portuguese club, according to the Daily Mail.

Anderson recently rejected a move back to his homeland because the interested parties were not able to meet his wage demands.
