Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United reportedly suffer a blow in their pursuit of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with the midfielder looking to remain in Italy.

Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is reportedly set to put pen to paper on a new deal with the Serie A side amid links with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

The 25-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign with Lazio prior to the coronavirus postponement, registering four goals and five assists from 25 outings in Serie A.

Milinkovic-Savic has attracted interest from a number of sides recently, but the Serbia international is supposedly looking ahead to his future with Lazio.

According to Corriere della Roma, Simone Inzaghi's side are willing to offer Milinkovic-Savic a bumper new deal to remain in Italy, and the midfielder could earn £3.5m a year at the Stadio Olimpico.

The report also claims that Milinkovic-Savic has no desire to leave Lazio anytime soon, with Inzaghi's side currently only one point behind Serie A leaders Juventus as things stand.

The Serbian is under contract at Lazio, where he has amassed 36 goals from 193 appearances across all competitions since 2015, until 2024.
