Jose Mourinho is ready to renew his interest in Croatian wingers Ivan Perisic and Ante Rebic as he attempts to bring in a goalscoring wideman, according to a report.

Jose Mourinho is reportedly on a collision course with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward over his plans to sign one of Ivan Perisic or Ante Rebic in January.

The Croatian attackers were both strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford during the summer window, only for their asking prices to shoot up following their national side's impressive showing at the World Cup finals.

Mourinho is said to have been left frustrated by Woodward's decision to pull the plug on both deals, seeing Perisic remain at Inter Milan and Rebic at Eintracht Frankfurt.

According to The Mirror, however, Mourinho remains desperate to sign a goalscoring wide player and is hoping that he will be backed by Woodward on this occasion.

The report indicates that Inter previously asked for £48m when United enquired about Perisic, while Rebic could be available for around £40m.

Both players started Croatia's goalless draw with England in the UEFA Nations League on Friday.
