Paris Saint-Germain reportedly join Manchester United in the race for Atletico Madrid's Kieran Trippier as they ponder alternatives to Achraf Hakimi.

Manchester United will reportedly have to fend off interest from Paris Saint-Germain to land the signature of Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier.

The Red Devils are understood to have earmarked Trippier as the ideal player to provide competition for Aaron Wan-Bissaka at right-back, but money is proving to be an issue.

Atletico are thought to want a fee in the region of €50m (£42.9m) to part ways with their first-choice right-back, which has supposedly forced United to seek out alternatives such as Norwich City's Max Aarons.

The Red Devils' interest could now be complicated by PSG, according to France Football, who reports that the Ligue 1 giants are also keeping tabs on the Englishman's situation.

PSG are supposedly pressing ahead for a move for Inter Milan's Achraf Hakimi as a priority, but a recent report claimed that Chelsea are making progress in their own bid to sign the Moroccan, leaving Les Parisiens to consider other options for the right-back spot.

Trippier claimed six assists from 28 La Liga outings in Atletico's title-winning 2020-21 season, but he was left on the bench for England's goalless draw with Scotland at Euro 2020 on Friday.
