Manchester United could reignite their interest in Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele at a later date, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly still interested in a deal for Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele.

The France international was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in the latter stages of the transfer window, but he has ultimately remained at Camp Nou.

Barca are believed to have been pushing for a permanent sale while United were only interested in a loan deal due to concerns over Dembele's injury record, which has seen him miss a lot of football in recent seasons.

According to Sport, though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side could be convinced to return for the World Cup winner at a later date if he can prove his fitness in the coming months.

Dembele, who was also linked with Liverpool during the summer window, has scored 19 times and registered 16 assists in 75 appearances for Barca since arriving from Borussia Dortmund.

The attacker has only played 20 minutes of La Liga football across his team's three matches this season, though, and seemingly faces a battle to work his way into Ronald Koeman's first XI.
