Manchester United target Harry Maguire 'no closer to Leicester City exit'

Manchester United are allegedly no closer to completing a deal for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.

Harry Maguire is reportedly no closer to securing an exit away from Leicester City during the summer transfer window.

Amid interest from each of Manchester United and Manchester City, Maguire is said to have informed Foxes officials that he wants to take on a new challenge.

Speculation persists that United have indicated that they are willing to meet the £80m valuation of the England international as they continue to look to strengthen at centre-back.

According to LeicestershireLive, however, discussions are still yet to progress, leaving Maguire in a position where he may feature in a friendly against Cambridge United on Tuesday evening.

The report reiterates that Maguire will continue to act professionally at Leicester, rather than attempting to force through a transfer to one of the North-West giants.

The 26-year-old still has four years remaining on his contract at the King Power Stadium.
