Manchester United could have to pay as much as £80m to sign Jack Grealish this summer if Aston Villa stay in the Premier League, according to a report.

Manchester United could reportedly have to pay as much as £80m for Jack Grealish this summer if Aston Villa avoid relegation from the Premier League.

The 24-year-old, who has scored nine times and provided eight assists in 28 appearances at club level this season, is thought to be United's leading target ahead of this summer's transfer window.

However, according to The Athletic, the Red Devils could have to come up with an offer of £80m for the Englishman should Dean Smith's side manage to stay in the top flight.

Villa are currently 17th in the Premier League table, just one point ahead of West Ham United, who are in action away to Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Tottenham Hotspur allegedly had the chance to sign Grealish for just £6m in the summer of 2018 but turned down the opportunity.

Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester City have also all been linked with the attacker.
