Paulo Dybala's proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly in danger of being scuppered by the Argentine's lofty wage demands of £300,000 a week.

Tottenham Hotspur's bid to sign Paulo Dybala could be derailed by the Argentine's lofty wage demands of £300,000 a week.

Mauricio Pochettino's side have reportedly agreed on a fee of £64.4m with Juventus for the transfer of Dybala, but the two parties are yet to reach a consensus over personal terms.

Manchester United also had an agreement in place with Juventus for Dybala, with Romelu Lukaku set to go the other way, only for the Premier League club to end talks due to the 25-year-old's wage demands of £350,000 a week.

According to the Daily Mail, agreeing on a salary for Dybala could cause complications due to the forward asking for a wage which would make him the club's highest earner ahead of Harry Kane, who is on a £250,000-a-week contract.

Spurs spoke with officials from Juventus in Turin earlier this week and indicated that they were ready to break their transfer record to sign Dybala before Thursday's transfer deadline.

Juventus plan to use the money from Dybala's sale to fund a move for Romelu Lukaku, who has refused to return to training with United as he waits for a move to Italy.
