Antoine Griezmann is not interested in leaving Atletico Madrid amid claims that Manchester United want to sign him during next summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Antoine Griezmann is reportedly not interested in leaving Atletico Madrid amid suggestions that Manchester United want to sign him next year.

The 32-year-old has been in strong form for Diego Simeone's side during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 12 times and registering one assist in 16 appearances.

Griezmann was also involved twice for France over the international break, playing the full 90 minutes against both Gibraltar and Greece, and he will now head back to Spain to prepare for Atletico's La Liga clash with Mallorca on Saturday night.

There is allegedly a £22m release clause in the forward's contract at Wanda Metropolitano, and Man United are said to be keen to bring the Frenchman to Old Trafford next summer.

The Red Devils are believed to be willing to pay Griezmann around £350,000 a week to secure his services, with representatives from the club recently believed to have been in Madrid to negotiate a deal.

However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, 'there is nothing' in the recent rumours linking him with a switch to the 20-time English champions.

Romano claims that Griezmann rejected a big-money switch to Saudi Arabia last June, as he is only interested in continuing his career with Atletico.

The attacker's deal at Wanda Metropolitano is due to run until June 2026, but he has recently expressed a desire to move to North America before the end of his career.

"Saudi Arabia? I understand those who have to go there; we're talking about incredible sums of money," Griezmann told reporters during the September international break. "Could I go? I have a family, three children. It's not an easy decision to make. The MLS is still my priority."

Griezmann has represented Atletico on 357 occasions in all competitions, scoring 169 goals and registering 77 assists in the process.

The forward started his professional career with Real Sociedad before moving to Atletico, spending five years with the Red and Whites ahead of a switch to Barcelona.

Griezmann largely found it difficult to show his best form at Camp Nou, though, and he returned to Atletico on loan in 2021 before a permanent move back to the club occurred last year.

Man United are widely expected to move for a new centre-forward in January due to their goalscoring issues during the 2023-24 campaign.

Rasmus Hojlund is top of the scoring charts at the club this season with five, but the 20-year-old, who is a major doubt for Sunday's trip to Everton due to a muscular strain, is yet to find the back of the net in the Premier League.
