Jadon Sancho reportedly wants to leave Manchester United during this summer's transfer window and would not be interested in a return even if Erik ten Hag lost his job as head coach.

The England international had a high-profile falling-out with Ten Hag in the first half of the 2023-24 campaign.

Sancho was a notable absentee from the squad against Arsenal in the Premier League at the start of September, and Ten Hag claimed that the ex-Manchester City youngster had been left out due to some poor performances on the training ground.

The forward took to social media to insist that was not the case, claiming that he had been made "a scapegoat", and having refused to apologise for his outburst, the 24-year-old was removed from the first-team picture.

An Aston Villa prospect is reportedly attracting widespread interest from Germany ahead of next season.

The West Midlands outfit have had one of the best academy setups in the Premier League for some time, mixing using the talent in their senior ranks and cashing in some starlets to bolster their financial position.

As well as Carney Chukwuemeka joining Chelsea in 2022 for a £20m fee, Villa generated £35m through the sales of Jacob Ramsey, Jaden Philogene and Cameron Archer during the last summer transfer window.

More recently, the likes of Kaine Kesler-Hayden and Tim Iroegbunam have been used in the first-team setup, as has winger Omari Kellyman.

Manchester United will reportedly attempt to move Casemiro and Christian Eriksen on in the early stages of the summer transfer window, while Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans are set to depart on free transfers.

There is expected to be a huge overhaul of the squad this summer, with the club's new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe planning major changes at Old Trafford.

According to Football Insider, the club have decided against offering contracts to Varane and Evans, with the duo set to leave on free transfers at the end of June.

Meanwhile, the report claims that Casemiro and Eriksen are surplus to requirements, with the midfield pair expected to depart in the early stages of the summer window.

Manchester United are reportedly actively searching for a buyer for Casemiro, with the experienced midfielder set to leave Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.

The Brazil captain starred for the Red Devils during the 2022-23 campaign following a big-money move from Real Madrid, but he has found it difficult to impress this term.

Casemiro has remained a key player for Erik ten Hag's team this season despite some injury issues, making 29 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and registering three assists in the process.

The 32-year-old has been used in central defence of late due to the team's injury problems in that area of the field, and he had a difficult night against Crystal Palace on Monday.

Getafe president Angel Torres has claimed that Manchester United have no intention of bringing Mason Greenwood back to the club this summer.

Having been told that he had no future at the club last year, the 22-year-old moved on loan to Getafe, and he has had an impressive 2023-24 season for the La Liga team, scoring 10 goals and registering six assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.

Earlier this year, Man United's new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe recently opened the door for the forward to potentially return to Old Trafford for the 2024-25 campaign.

However, it has since been widely reported that the Red Devils are planning to sell Greenwood this summer, providing that their asking price for the academy product is met.

Mbappe rolls eyes at Real Madrid question after PSG elimination

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe was in no mood to answer questions about Real Madrid following Paris Saint-Germain's latest heartbreaking exit from the Champions League.

Needing to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg of their semi-final with Borussia Dortmund, Luis Enrique's men instead suffered an identical defeat in equally frustrating circumstances at the Parc des Princes.

The French champions were made to pay for squandering numerous chances in last week's first leg, and it was a similar story on Tuesday, where Dortmund veteran Mats Hummels headed in the only goal of the contest.

It was certainly not for a lack of trying for PSG, who fired 30 shots on the Dortmund goal but only landed five of them on target, the former statistic representing a record for a team in the Champions League knockout stages without scoring.
