Rafael da Silva: 'Win over Tottenham Hotspur has boosted confidence'

Rafael da Silva claims that Manchester United will travel to Liverpool full of confidence following their 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Rafael da Silva has claimed that Manchester United's win over Tottenham Hotspur has given the team a big boost ahead of their trip to Liverpool.

The Red Devils increased their chances of a top-four finish on Sunday as they earned a comfortable 3-0 victory at Old Trafford.

With bitter rivals Liverpool up next for United this coming Sunday, Rafael has claimed that he and his teammates will travel to Anfield in high spirits.

"Of course this result is very good for our confidence ahead of the Liverpool game," he is quoted as saying by The Mirror. "It is very good to win a game against a team like Tottenham, playing some fantastic football with a high tempo and lots of energy.

"It has boosted our confidence. It's always tough to play there at Anfield, but I think it is very good to get this result before that game."

Rafael made his recovery from a fractured cheekbone against Spurs, coming off the bench for his first appearance in over two months.
