Manchester United are handed a boost ahead of their next league game against West Ham United, with Michail Antonio set to miss out for the Hammers through suspension.

Manchester United have been handed a boost ahead of their next Premier League game against West Ham United on September 19, with Michail Antonio set to miss out for the Hammers through suspension.

The Red Devils recorded a 4-1 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Saturday, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring twice on his second debut for the club.

West Ham, meanwhile, were held to a goalless draw by Southampton, and Antonio was sent off in the latter stages of the contest for a second bookable offence.

As a result, the 31-year-old, who has scored four times and registered three assists in the Premier League this season, will be suspended for the clash against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Man United's impressive victory over Newcastle has seen them rise to the top of the Premier League table, having picked up 10 points from their opening four matches.

Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard - who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham - were also on the scoresheet against the Magpies.
