Man Utd's Bruno Fernandes hits out at talk of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rift

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes rubbishes reports that he questioned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tactics during United's 6-1 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has rubbished speculation that he was involved in a spat with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during United's crushing 6-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Portugal international lasted 45 minutes of that drubbing before being hauled off at half-time by Solskjaer, with Fernandes reportedly one of the Red Devils contingent who is losing faith in the Norwegian.

However, Fernandes has since denied that words were exchanged with Solskjaer during the interval, telling Sport TV: "There's been a lot of speculation about that.

"First it was a discussion with teammates, as it did not stick, it was a discussion with only one teammate (Victor Lindelof), as it did not stick now, it is the discussion with Solskjaer.

"I believe it is a way to destabilise the group. What was said is in no way true.

"I was replaced at half time, it is true, by technical option. The coach told me that the game was almost over and that we would have a lot of games ahead of us. Got it. I was not satisfied but said nothing that could harm the group.

"Do not use my name, my colleagues or the coach to make trouble at Manchester United. The atmosphere is good and the team is ready to give an answer in the next game."

United's Premier League campaign continues on Saturday when they travel to St James' Park to take on Newcastle United following the international break.
