Real Madrid's Emilio Butragueno relishing Manchester United tie

Emilio Butragueno believes that Real Madrid's clash with Manchester United in the Champions League last 16 will be "excellent" for both the players and the fans.

Real Madrid's Director of Institutional Relations Emilio Butragueno is relishing his side's clash with Manchester United in the Champions League last 16 this season.

The 49-year-old believes that playing the English giants will give his team "extra motivation".

"This will be an excellent match for the fans," he told Madrid's official website. "For the players, playing a great team and prestigious organisation like Manchester is a special source of motivation.

"We hope to go into the match in good condition, with all of our players fit and full confidence in our team.

"[This] is exciting for the fans, for the players and for the club. Facing Manchester United is an extra motivation and you have to make the most of that. You have to prepare and play well."

The first leg of the tie will take place at the Santiago Bernabeu on February 13 and the second leg will be held at Old Trafford on March 5.
