Manchester City will reportedly allow young prospect Aro Muric to leave the Etihad for Nottingham Forest on loan.

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to allow young goalkeeper Aro Muric to leave the club on loan for Championship side Nottingham Forest next season.

The 20-year-old has been part of the City youth setup since 2015 and is highly regarded at the Etihad, with some even suggesting that he could become a long-term replacement for Ederson in the first team.

Last season Muric appeared five times for the senior side in their winning EFL Cup run, but City boss Pep Guardiola believes that the time is right for him to go out on loan in the second tier to gain valuable experience.

According to the Daily Mail, the Swiss-born Kosovo international's destination will be Forest, who finished ninth in the Championship last season and have renewed promotion hopes under Martin O'Neill in the upcoming campaign.

Muric's proposed departure would leave Claudio Bravo as Ederson's deputy and mean that City would venture into the transfer market to find a third-choice stopper.
