Manchester City could reportedly welcome back Sergio Aguero earlier than planned when they face Stoke City this weekend.

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero could reportedly make a shock return to the pitch on Saturday when his team face Stoke City in the Premier League.

The Argentina international suffered a broken rib two weeks ago in a road accident in Amsterdam.

The 29-year-old was in the Dutch capital for a music concert on his day off, which ended with his taxi smashing into a lamppost.

According to The Mirror, though, Aguero could make an appearance this weekend when City try to extend their unbeaten run to eight Premier League matches.

Pep Guardiola's team currently reside at the top of the table on six wins and one draw.
