Hubert Fournier not thinking about Lyon future

Hubert Fournier calls for Lyon to stick together after losing 2-0 at home against Angers.

Under-fire Lyon manager Hubert Fournier has insisted that he is not worrying about his future with the club after losing to Angers.

OL's farewell game at the Stade Gerland was spoiled by two goals from Cheikh Ndoye as the newly-promoted side ran out 2-0 winners.

However, Fournier has called for the club to stick together as they try to turn around their fortunes.

He is quoted by Ligue 1.com as saying: "We knew Angers were strong at set-pieces, with 47 percent of their goals coming from them. N'Doye had already scored three times. We are going through a horrible spell, with bad results and injuries in every match, notably Mathieu Valbuena this evening.

"That has repercussions on performances and on the quality of our play. We need to keep our dignity and focus on the Champions League match at Valencia. I feel, like I hope everyone does, very disappointed by the evening and by the way we lost the match.

"If the problem is me then we will see with the president. I have too much respect for this club. We will come to an agreement but I am not thinking about that. On the contrary. We all need to stick together to turn this around."

Lyon face Gary Neville's Valencia in the Champions League in midweek.
