Porto boss Sergio Conceicao is reportedly furious at the impending deal that will see their winger Luis Diaz move from Portugal to Liverpool.

Porto boss Sergio Conceicao has reportedly expressed his disapproval at the impending deal that will see Luis Diaz move to Liverpool.

The news broke on Friday that Liverpool had agreed a deal to sign the Colombian winger for around £50m, beating off interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United.

However, according to A Bola, the 25-year-old's current manager is furious at the imminent departure of his star man midway through his side's title challenge in Portugal.

In addition to losing the 14 goals and four assists that Diaz has registered this season, Conceicao is also against the finances involved in the deal, with the eventual figure way below his reported release of around £67m.

The Porto hierarchy have reluctantly accepted the offer in light of their current financial difficulties though, despite sitting top of the Primeira Liga after dropping just four points from their opening 19 games this season.

Diaz is currently on international duty with Colombia, but is understood to be undergoing his medical in Argentina ahead of the transfer deadline on Monday.
