Liverpool youngster Allan Rodrigues de Souza completes a season-long loan move to Cypriot side Apollon Limassol.

Liverpool have confirmed that Allan Rodrigues de Souza has joined Cypriot side Apollon Limassol on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old has been unable to secure a work permit since joining Liverpool from Internacional in 2015, spending time out on loan at SJK Sint-Truidense and Hertha Berlin.

Allan had initially been expected to join a Portuguese club on loan this month, but Liverpool are hopeful that his switch to Apollon will aid his efforts to be granted a work permit.

"Liverpool midfielder Allan Rodrigues de Souza has joined Apollon Limassol on loan for the remainder of the 2017-18 season," read a statement on the club's official website.

"The 20-year-old Brazilian sealed the switch to the Cypriot club, who finished third last term and will play in the Europa League group stages, on transfer deadline day."

Allan could come up against Liverpool's Merseyside rivals Everton during his time at Apollon, with the two sides having been drawn together in the group stages of the Europa League.
