Liverpool midfielder Emre Can fit to feature against Leicester City

Emre Can is expected to be part of Liverpool's squad for their Premier League meeting with Leicester City on Saturday evening after overcoming a slight knock.

Liverpool have been handed an injury boost ahead of their Premier League meeting with Leicester City this weekend as midfielder Emre Can has recovered from injury.

The 23-year-old picked up a knock in the disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Burnley last weekend, ruling him out of the midweek EFL Cup tie against the Foxes.

Can is expected to be part of the Reds' squad for their latest trip to the King Power Stadium, however, having returned to training at Melwood on Thursday.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Klopp may be without defenders Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip in the East Midlands, giving the German a defensive headache of sorts.

Matip is to be assessed by the club's medical department on Friday afternoon, but should he miss out then Joe Gomez will likely partner Ragnar Klavan in the heart of defence.
