Friday's FA Cup predictions including Aston Villa vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole provides score predictions for both of Friday's FA Cup third round fixtures - Wolves vs. Crystal Palace and Aston Villa vs. Liverpool.

Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace will lock horns in the FA Cup on Friday night with a spot in the fourth round of the competition on offer.

Both sides have posted identical records in the league this season - six wins, four draws and seven defeats from 17 matches - but it will be the first FA Cup clash between the teams for almost 11 years.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-2 Crystal Palace

There is certainly an argument that Palace have a stronger squad than Wolves despite the fact that the Eagles are struggling with injury problems of their own. The visitors will also enter the match in the stronger form, and we just have a feeling for Hodgson's side here, ultimately backing them to edge a tight contest.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

One of the standout fixtures in the third round of this season's FA Cup will take place at Villa Park on Friday night as Aston Villa welcome a wounded Liverpool.

Villa, who are enjoying an impressive 2020-21 campaign, thumped Liverpool 7-2 in the Premier League earlier this season, and Dean Smith's side will be looking to inflict another defeat on the English champions here.

We say: Aston Villa 2-2 Liverpool (Liverpool on penalties)

This is a very, very difficult game to predict as both managers are expected to make a number of changes; we can see goals at Villa Park, and it would not be a surprise to see the hosts triumph in 90 minutes. Liverpool will be determined to bounce back from the Southampton loss, though, and are backing the English champions to triumph on penalties after an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
