Fabio Quagliarella claims that Juventus's 6-1 win against Pescara was inspired by their loss to Inter Milan last weekend.

Juventus striker Fabio Quagliarella has said that his side's defeat to Inter Milan last weekend inspired them to crush Pescara 6-1 on Saturday.

The Italian striker scored a hat-trick in the Bianconeri's victory at the Stadio Adriatico to extend their lead at the top of Serie A to four points.

"The important thing was to win, and we really, really won," said the 29-year-old.

"We showed that is possible to have a setback against a great team like Inter and still be here.

"That defeat was just a stumble and, if anything, it made us stronger, as we are right back on track with the hunger we need."

Quagliarella has scored six goals in eight Serie A appearances so far this season.
