Wednesday's Euro 2020 predictions including Italy vs. Switzerland

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Euro 2020 fixtures, including Italy vs. Switzerland.

Finland vs. Russia (Wednesday, 2.00pm)

Finland will aim to carry the momentum forward from their bittersweet win over Denmark when they travel to the Krestovsky Stadium to take on Russia on matchday two of Euro 2020 Group B.

Markku Kanerva's side secured a 1-0 win over their Scandinavian neighbours on a day where football came second, while Russia's first game of the tournament ended in a comprehensive 3-0 loss to Belgium.

We say: Finland 1-2 Russia

Having to play another gruelling 90 minutes against stiff opposition is a monumentally difficult ask for Finland's players - all of whom could never have imagined being forced to witness what they did on a football pitch against Denmark.

Changes may be afoot for Kanerva's side depending on what sort of headspace his team are in, and while Russia will be forced into some alterations themselves, we can see their superior quality shining through in a hard-fought win.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Turkey vs. Wales (Wednesday, 5.00pm)

Wales and Turkey meet at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan in a huge Euro 2020 contest on matchday two in Group A.

The Dragons earned a 1-1 draw against Switzerland in their opening match, while Turkey were well beaten 3-0 by co-hosts Italy.

We say: Turkey 1-1 Wales

Group A was always likely to be dominated by draws with so many similarly-ranked nations - heavyweights Italy aside - facing off.

Both teams will be targeting three points from this match, but we can see the points being shared in Baku on Wednesday - a result that will keep the group wide open.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Italy vs. Switzerland (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Having impressed the watching continent in their opening win, Italy now take on local rivals Switzerland on Wednesday, at Rome's historic Stadio Olimpico.

While the Azzurri effectively need only a point to progress, their less illustrious neighbours are seeking their first win of Euro 2020, following a frustrating draw with Group A counterparts Wales.

We say: Italy 1-0 Switzerland

As Switzerland are expected to pursue only a point, the impetus will be on the hosts to create chances and move the ball as fluently as they managed in the tournament-opening game.

Italy are well versed at probing patiently, though, and not only have Ciro Immobile and Lorenzo Insigne to unlock the most tightly-bolted back door, but can also turn to the likes of exciting winger Federico Chiesa if required to make the difference.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
