Ipswich Town's Teddy Bishop to miss rest of season

Mick McCarthy reveals that injured midfielder Teddy Bishop is unlikely to play for Ipswich Town before the end of the season.

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has admitted that Teddy Bishop is unlikely to play at all this term.

The young midfielder has been sidelined for the entire campaign so far with a combination of hamstring and shin complaints.

With just 10 Championship matches left to play, McCarthy conceded that Bishop's season could be a write-off.

"He's not going to be available before the international break and we've only got eight after we come back. It's looking like a season written off," the East Anglian Daily Times quotes the Ipswich boss as saying.

The 19-year-old has risen through the ranks at Portman Road, having joined Ipswich as a trainee in 2004.
