Non-UK gambling operators, how do they rate?

The betting industry in the UK is seemingly alive and well; this despite the fact we are only just leaving a turbulent (to say the least!) 2020 year behind us which was full of challenges & restrictions, impeding many people both financially and emotionally. Despite this, end of year statistics suggest that bookmakers and casinos within the UK had reasonable years with similar turnover and profits to years that had gone before.

There's no getting away from the fact that the UK betting market is both saturated and fiercely competitive. This has been proven time and time again, even more so in recent years where we have seen how difficult it is for new players - industry players we mean – to sustain themselves in the UK betting market. Many have come and gone in recent years offering attractive betting sign up offers and referral schemes for affiliate marketers, only to fall flat in terms of customer retention; with most opting to return to more familiar pastures, such as the big names of SkyBet, Ladbrokes & Paddy Power. That withstanding; more and more UK customers are trialling overseas betting companies, or non UK betting sites for lack of a better term.

One possible explanation for why some UK players are looking overseas for a new bookmaker or casino could be related to these foreign businesses not being regulated or signed up for GamStop – the self-exclusion betting tool that people can download to their computers and mobile devices to prevent them from visiting gambling related content or providers. It could certainly be argued that far fewer Casinos off-shore from the UK are restricted by GamStop. In fact, a quick Google search uncovers a comprehensive casinos not on gamstop Justuk.club's guide by Jason Farrell.

Of course when opting to try out a bookmaker or Casino not from your country, there are other potential pitfalls which need to be considered. For example, deposit & withdrawal methods can often be limited and slow for overseas punters, and in many cases withdrawal times significantly exceed that of UK licensed gambling operators. Another potential issue would be if there hadn't to be a dispute between the customer and the operator, UK law and regulation would be of no assistance to the player.

In summary, it's pretty clear that whilst non UK betting sites might offer some attractive odds and bonuses, there are also drawbacks that the player needs to factor in before making their decision to deviate from their usual UK operators.
