Demarai Gray is reportedly set to be available sooner than was first expected for Everton.

Everton's Demari Gray is reportedly set to return from injury sooner than first expected, providing some positive news for the Toffees.

The winger suffered an abductor problem at the weekend during the 3-0 loss against Manchester City, as he had to be replaced just 17 minutes into the match.

This led to concern about his availability in the long-term, which added to the lengthy list of injury woes that Rafael Benitez is dealing with at the moment.

However, according to reports from Liverpool Echo, Gray is expected to be back sooner than was originally feared, although an exact date was not given.

Everton will be back in action on Sunday when they compete against Brentford and he has not been ruled out of that fixture by those within the club.

The Toffees have not won in their previous six performances which has resulted in them slipping down to 11th in the Premier League table.
